Wine of the year 2026

The Estonian Sommelier Association (ESA) invited all wine importers and producers to participate in the Wine of the Year competition for the sixth time. The aim of the competition is to recognise the best wines available in Estonia each calendar year, awarding gold, silver, and bronze medals.

Wines were evaluated on a 100-point scale, with medals awarded to up to 65% of the wines submitted. Based on the results of blind tastings, wines were recognised as follows:

• Gold 90+ points — a wine of outstanding international calibre
• Silver 87+ points — a remarkably good wine in its class
• Bronze 83+ points — a good wine that stands out for its quality in its class
